Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Sr Engine Program Analyst in Remote or NYC to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.  

 

The Sr Engine Program Analyst plays an important role supporting Wheels Up’s Finance and Operations teams by developing Wheels Up’s long-term engine maintenance and fleet strategy. The Senior Analyst Engine Programs prepares and executes strategic cost saving projects involving engine selection, maintenance, leasing, sales and purchases. The role manages repair activities, asset transactions, and program enrollments relating to Engines, Auxiliary Power Units. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  • Maintain relationships with key existing and potential future vendors, including engine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) providers. 
  • Develop and manage master fleet list for tracking asset locations and Engine/APU program enrollment. 
  • Perform invoice reviews and management of repair agreements to ensure MROs perform at contract-defined levels of service, including processes that speed up shop repairs and minimize "over and above" and “out of scope” costs. 
  • Develop long-term integrative engine fleet strategy and lifecycle management, working alongside Wheels Up Finance and Fleet groups to appropriately implement contractual changes resulting from our fleet strategy. 
  • Manage engine CapEx and OpEx forecast and partner with Finance on budgeting including maintaining a process to identify, assess, execute and track cost savings initiatives. 
  • Gather market intelligence to ensure competitive engine maintenance costs for commercial recommendations on all current and future engine platforms, including the facilitation, preparation and conduct of negotiations on engine maintenance agreements. 
  • Prepare financial and operational risk analysis for engine maintenance projects and analyze documentation for commercial transactions involving engine/aircraft sales, retirement, and acquisitions 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • High School Diploma or general Education Development (GED) Diploma 
  • Three (3) years of aviation experience in aircraft maintenance, material operations, supply chain, or planning 
  • Ability to quickly develop a deep knowledge of the marketplace and key competitors 
  • Ability to model scenario plans and identify value levers and inventive structures to inform sourcing and negotiation strategy 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical and organizational skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations  
  • Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States 
  • Office vs. travel (to company and supplier locations) = 80% / 20%. 
  • Work environment may include airport locations, aircraft maintenance facilities, aircraft OEM locations and supplier locations 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Aviation Discipline  
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license 
  • Three (3) year experience in an engine program strategy or procurement role 
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance contracts and different financial and operational structures 
  • Knowledge of technical material management 
  • Knowledge of aircraft, engines and components repair processes 
  • Knowledge of Maintenance costs, budgeting, and trend analysis 
  • Experience working with MRO providers 
  • Experience managing aircraft component repair processes 
  • Knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering database systems (such as CAMP) 
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, cost accounting, asset management, and financial forecasting

Salary Range 

The wage range for this position $75,000/Yr. - $94,000/Yr. is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
