Responsibilities

Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

 

The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness by playing a key role in analyzing compensation data, conducting market analysis, and providing insights to leadership to inform compensation strategies.

 

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Analyzes market trends, salary surveys, and compensation data to ensure competitive pay practices. Provides insights and recommendations on salary structures, bonus plans, incentive programs, and pay-for-performance strategies
  • Reviews and benchmarks compensation offers, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry standards
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of salary structures and job classification systems
  • Leads the analysis of internal compensation equity and make recommendations to ensure pay fairness across departments and teams
  • Prepares comprehensive ad-hoc analysis, compensation reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and management
  • Conduct and participate in salary surveys to gather market data and ensure competitiveness. Provides insights and recommendations based on survey results and industry trends
  • Assists in the design, communication, and administration of incentive programs, equity plans, and other compensation-related programs
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant labor laws, including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, and local regulations
  • Partners with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Hiring Managers to provide compensation guidance and recommendations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • Bachelor's degree with a preference in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimally 2-3 years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar role

The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)

While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis)
  • Familiarity with compensation analysis tools and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP)
  • Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations (FLSA, Equal Pay Act, etc.)
  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex and disparate data in order to create a succinct, meaningful story of its meaning
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills for presentations
  • Knowledgeable in basis to intermediate skills in Tableau

Physical Requirements

  • The role primarily involves sitting for extended periods while working on computers or attending meetings
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for tasks such as typing, using a mouse, and manipulating documents or spreadsheets
  • Must have the ability to view and analyze data on a computer screen for extended periods, with clear focus and attention to detail
  • Requires clear verbal communication skills for phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person discussions
  • Occasional walking, standing, or light lifting (e.g., carrying documents or small office supplies)

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $95,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
