Responsibilities

Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Manager, Operations Finance will drive the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions to support operational decision-making. This position requires a highly analytical, strategic-minded, and results-oriented finance professional to develop and oversee financial models, analyze operational performance, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. The Senior Manager will be a trusted business partner, continuously collaborating with operations leaders to elevate financial performance and achieve organizational goals.

 

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Budget Planning:

  • Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and longer-term financial plans
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data to create actionable insights and recommendations
  • Partner with the VP and operations leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals
  • Identify, assess, and track key financial and operational performance indicators

Financial Analytics:

  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate productivity initiatives and establish operational goals to achieve desired outcomes
  • Review monthly financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial performance metrics
  • Build and maintain financial dashboards to provide leadership with continuous visibility

Operational Performance:

  • Review KPI’s and establish clear lines of communication with operations leadership to measure monthly performance
  • Partner with Wheels Up data analytics team to ensure operational KPI’s are measured, evaluated, and communicated to leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline required
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial analysis
  • Though CPA not required, successful candidate will have extensive understanding of corporate accounting principles and procedures

The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)

While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out:

  • Aviation experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with data visualization programs a plus (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $96,000 - $120,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
