Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing 

 

Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Senior Manager, FBO Services in Atlanta, GA to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.   

 

This position is responsible for building and overseeing an FBO oversight program that adheres to Wheels Up standards for our members and our operations. Working with Wheels Up’s Member Operations team, the Sr Manager, FBO Services is responsible for tracking FBO performance, providing feedback and corrective actions back to Wheels Up’s business partners and informing the design of future programs.

 

 

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) 

  • Develops and executes overall FBO strategy of the company, from day-to-day transactions to long-term transformational initiatives; execute effective and meaningful pricing mechanisms and adoption of new industry standards to the business to drive performance excellence and increased profitability.
  • Manages FBO performance across network of business partners and drive compliance with Wheels Up’s FBO Standards as approved by Wheels Up Operations and Safety leadership.
  • Conducts station audits, investigate fuel quality concerns/audits, and/or insurance claims where applicable related to damage events; partner with Wheels Up Safety in recording findings and performance management.
  • Drives performance improvement measures from customer impact cases; support day-of flight operations and ensures Wheels Up flights run smoothly and on time.
  • Partners with the Director of Fuel on contract negotiations and fuel tender processes with fuel sources and FBOs; represent Wheels Up’s interests in business partner meetings and industry conferences and events.
  • Support coordination of brand activation efforts at special events at FBOs.
  • Establish and maintain all safety programs, and reporting including regulatory interface with local and federal governmental agencies.
  • Partner with finance in developing and monitoring company budget for FBO operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements 

 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum eight years of experience managing fuel operations or commercial supply chain and logistics.

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $180,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
