Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

 

Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Manager, Scheduling in Atlanta, GA to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.   

 

In this role, the Manager, Scheduling oversees the financial performance and various aspects of scheduling operations. As a people leader, this role provides direction to a team (up to 20) scheduling staff to ensure they provide customer service to pilots and system control, uphold our commitment to safety, demonstrate good judgement and perform their jobs as defined by company policy, crew scheduling manual and in-line with KPI and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Recruits and hires to achieve and maintain the team’s target staffing level.
  • Manages new hire initial, recurrent, and remedial training for the team as required.
  • Builds team schedules, managing paid time off and team shift coverage to meet the business needs.
  • Implements standards and service level agreements (SLAs) for the team.
  • Provides ongoing guidance and coaching to support the team’s performance in relation to standards and SLAs.
  • Builds and continuously evolves team processes and procedures to support company goals.
  • Role models the company vision, mission, values, and culture to the team.
  • Collaborates with adjacent department/team leaders and the engineering teams to continuously evaluate and improve processes through simplification and improved technology.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • 3-5 years experience in dynamic operations environment, preferably Part 135
  • Aircraft and Crew Scheduling experience, preferably Part 135 floating fleet
  • Minimum three years operations, management, finance or strategic experience, preferably in aviation, including a minimum of one year of direct people leadership.
  • In depth knowledge of Aviation based systems, such as a Flight Management System

While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out:

  • College degree in Aviation Business Management, or similar experience
  • Dispatcher’s license, Private Pilot License, or similar experience

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $105,000 to $140,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
