Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing


Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Mission Planner in Chamblee, GA to interview for a position for a future opportunity to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.   

 

Following a successful interview, you will be placed in a pool for a potential future opening for this role.

 

This position is responsible for multiple aspects of Planning flight events for Wheels Up.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Perform trip feasibility checks for all future high payload or high endurance flight times.
  • Ensure weight / balance, performance, and fuel planning are in compliance with all company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review hazmat materials requested for transportation by members.
  • Author daily Operational Review products to mitigate flight risks and ensure successful trip outcome.
  • Apply relevant aviation weather theory to member trip reviews for next day and day of.
  • Working familiarity with airspace, IFR procedures, and route structures.
  • Working familiarity of aircraft systems, aircraft MEL’s as it pertains to flight restrictions and performance restrictions.
  • Communicate operationally pertinent issues with need to know departments.
  • Perform Day 2 and Day 3 Remain Overnight (RON) checks to ensure continued trip viability.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Mission Planning Supervisor or Operations Senior Leadership

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

 

  • FAA Dispatcher's Certificate or equivalent Pilot Certificate
  • Disseminate impactful TFR / NOTAM information daily to all operationally pertinent parties.
  • Dynamic familiarity with company Operations Specs and FAA regulations.
  • Ability to manage high volume workloads, impeccable attention to detail, and meticulous organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $68,000 to $85,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
