Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

 

This Fleet Team Manager provides senior-level maintenance oversight for the fleet, ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and effective support of maintenance control activities. The position partners closely with maintenance controllers and leadership to manage AOG events, resource availability, and strategic initiatives that drive maintenance availability and meet operational and member needs.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Has full authority in the maintenanceoversight within the fleet.  
  • Supports the maintenance controllers by ensuring required resources are available to include getting OEM technical support, engineering support, and helping to procure parts that are not available.   
  • Ensurescontrollers are executing proper AOG set ups, updates, and management of events.  
  • Empowers controllers to make decisions and provides constructive coaching when needed.
  • Monitors fleet RTS extensions and worksto mitigate impact on the operation. 
  • Assists the GM and MX Controlwith department strategy in attempt to meet and exceed company maintenance availability (MA) targets. 
  • Ensures deferrals are cleared in a timely manner. 
  • Responds to operational business requests that help meet member needs.
  • Attends RCB meetings for potential input and to take information back to the front-line teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:   

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate required. 
  • 4+ years’ experience working with one, or some of the following aircraft: Cessna Citation series jets: Citation X, Beechcraft King Air series turboprops, Gulfstream G4, Dassault Falcon, in a Part 135 or Part 145 environment. 
  • Knowledgeable in FAR Part 135 aviation maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance tracking programs (Ex.: CAMP).

Salary Range & Benefits

 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The compensation for this role ranges from $86,000/Yr. to $115,000/Yr., depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
