Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

 

We’re hiring a high-impact Project Manager to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives across a private aviation organization. This person will translate high-level and abstract initiatives into structured project plans with clear ownership, timelines, risks, and measurable outcomes.This individual contributor role partners with operations, technology, finance, safety, and commercial teams to improve processes, modernize systems, and drive enterprise priorities from strategy through execution.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Lead cross-functional workstreams from planning through execution
  • Translate strategic initiatives into structured project plans with defined scope, ownership, milestones, and success metrics
  • Map end-to-end processes and assess upstream/downstream impact
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; escalate with recommended solutions
  • Facilitate structured working sessions that drive decisions and accountability
  • Build executive-ready progress updates and decision summaries
  • Support change management to ensure adoption of new initiatives

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • 5–8 years of experience in project management, transformation, strategy & operations, consulting, product, or related experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level, cross-functional initiatives impacting multiple departments
  • Experience driving initiatives from strategy definition through implementation
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes (efficiency gains, cost savings, revenue enablement, risk reduction)
  • Experience presenting updates to VP-level or senior stakeholders
  • Ability to influence without formal authority

The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)

 

While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out:

  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, transportation, or operationally complex environments
  • Exposure to private aviation operations strongly preferred
  • Experience using project management tools (Smart Sheet/Air Table)
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Lean, or structured problem-solving frameworks
  • Strong systems thinker with enterprise-level perspective
  • Action-oriented and proactive; comfortable operating without rigid structure
  • Skilled facilitator who can gather input and drive alignment without overcomplicating
  • Analytical and structured, yet adaptable in fast-moving environments
  • Clear, confident communicator across varying levels of team members

Salary Range & Benefit

 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The compensation for this role ranges from $94,000/Yr. to $115,000/Yr., depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
