Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing 

Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Sr. Business Partner to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.  

 

The Senior Business Partner is a thought leader that has significant industry knowledge and can act as a SME within their domain.  This role is responsible for building strong relationships and the ability to marry data to business needs to be able to interpret key business problems and solve them with analytics and insightful interpretation of patterns that are identified based off the needs that are identified. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) 

  • Applies business acumen with strategic, analytical, and critical thinking when collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their business problems and translate them into actionable insights and reports 
  • Conducts thorough data analysis and develop models as needed to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive analytical business decisions 
  • Develops and maintains data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Implement database solutions where necessary 
  • Writes and optimizes SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting, ensuring efficient database performance 
  • Data Visualization: Designs visually appealing and user-friendly data visualizations that communicate complex information effectively 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business partners to deliver data-driven solutions and drive business impact 
  • Ability to transform business problems into visual stories that can be taken and then built into dashboards that the company can use to make data driven decisions. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements 

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do 

  • A degree (preferably an advanced degree) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in architecting and developing business intelligence solutions, preferably in an operational business environment 
  • Strong programming experience in production environments using SQL 
  • Comfortable with Azure eco-system and exposure to Databricks 
  • Experience with theory and practice of data analytics 
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs 
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business partners and engineering teams successfully

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits 

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $95,000 to $115,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
