Responsibilities

Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting directly to the SVP of Sales. You will be responsible for managing air charter flights on behalf of our clients, including using your discretion and judgment to select aircraft, flight crews (where applicable), and other vendors while balancing customer expectations and budget. Your decisions will have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line; you will be expected to deliver revenue and profitability in accordance with agreed financial targets. You will also be expected to deliver a superior service while managing a diverse portfolio of customers. Primary duties will include the selecting and sourcing of aircraft and other vendors, maintaining awareness of client needs and trends within the industry, and managing all aspects of flight planning and logistics on behalf of clients. It will also be necessary on occasion to be included in various field activities such as sales presentations, supplier relations and visits, flight visits, and domestic and international travel as needed.

 

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Evaluate client needs, pricing, availability, and other relevant market factors to select most appropriate aircraft, crew, and other vendors for each charter, including executing contracts as necessary
  • Support client bookings in all aspects of day-to-day trading, including taking appropriate steps to resolve grievances and handle unexpected occurrences
  • Ensure that flights comply with domestic and international regulations applicable to the charter market
  • Analyze market conditions, competitors’ capabilities, rate tolerance, and other factors to produce timely and well researched quote responses
  • Support the Group’s Customer First initiative to its full extent
  • Conduct sales calls and client visits as directed by your manager and in line with annual KPIs
  • Work with Outside Sales team to effectively manage client relationships and flight logistics
  • Ensure job flight files are updated and closed correctly
  • Full compliance with company procedures and protocols
  • Provide support for Out of Hours coverage
  • Provide updates on sales pipeline
  • Achieving targets set for each financial year
  • Maintenance and growth of existing client base
  • Assisting with client care activities and supplier relations
  • Speedy turnaround of new and existing client enquiries
  • Ensuring all new enquiries are entered correctly into CRM and updated on a regular basis
  • After sales service and orderly maintenance of paperwork/files
  • Research relevant industry data to create new sales leads

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • Very good understanding of changing charter markets and regulatory environment for both operators and clients
  • Ability to analyze data and incorporate it into a sound decision-making process
  • Customer focused with good people skills and the ability to form relationships with key individuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with a strong telephone manner
  • Ability to anticipate and out manoeuvre rivals in competitive tenders
  • Experience working in an international environment with global operators and clients
  • Knowledge of international restrictions and permitting
  • Ability to generate consistent GP for the company
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met
  • Well organized and resourceful
  • IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of a new system
  • Numerate, efficient and accurate, with strong negotiation skills
  • Must be competitive, highly motivated and hungry to win business
  • Logical approach to problem solving and adapt at keeping up with a changing situation
  • Flexible, calm under pressure, and able to create/implement solutions to unique problems
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Air Partner services, and ability to promote the brand at all times

What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications, depending on a variety of factors. The range for the role is between $75,000-85,000 + commission. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you will be eligible for an incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
